Today I did a serious revise of the lyrics for Expedition and tweaked the arrangement a little bit. I also worked on piecing together the music for The Form Destroyer using the loops J$ sent to me. It is now pretty different and reminiscent of something by John Ingram or Heuristics Inc.

Yesterday I wrote music for Who’s Got The Gun. I’m very proud of myself for going in a different direction than I had heard in my head when I was writing the lyrics. Today I’ve been working on revising the lyrics a bit and plan to work on piecing together the loops for The Form Destroyer, music which I asked J$ to write.

Well, at some point I finished the music for The Importance Of Good Leadership, I guess I just forgot to mention that. Yesterday, I recorded the music for Settlement Whore and finally got around to tweaking with J$’s version of Delmak-O. I’m quite pleased with the way both of those turned out. Today I finally finally got around to tweaking with J$’s music for a song that still doesn’t have a name. Several possible names are The Building, Expedition, and In Search Of It. I just haven’t decided yet. I’ve had that stuff sitting in a folder for a good long time so it feels good to have finally squared it away. If it isn’t obvious, I’m not recording any vocals yet. My plan is to finish all of the music for the album and then take several days to do all of the vocals. This is different than how I normally work but I think it will be beneficial for the final product. I’m practicing the songs every day so by the time I record them I should be in good vocal form and have all the words memorized. Additionally, when listening to the music I sometimes tweak a thing here or there, which will hopefully add up to a positive in the end.
