This Album-A-Day was created in approximately 8-9 hours. The song titles were used as search strings in Altavista's audio search function to find source material for each track. Some of the "found sounds" were left unaltered, but some were edited and processed so much as to become completely unrecognizable. The resulting collage songs, I think, reflect quite well the mental condition of someone who has had to live in a hotel room for 4 weeks without a job and, until very recently, without a computer.
